Instructional methods:  I will use a variety of teaching methods which include:  cooperative learning, lecture, discussion, guided reading, videos, guest speakers, experiments and more.

Requirements:  You will be expected to use class time in a conscientious and effective manner. All assigned activities must be completed to the best of your ability. Your written work may be typed, or written in ink or pencil.

Each assignment that is turned in must have your name, date and period in the upper right corner of the paper. Unexcused absences cannot be made up. You have two school days to bring a note from home to excuse an absence.

If you have an excused absence, then you may turn in make up work. You have one day for each day you were gone to complete the work.

Grading:  I follow the school’s system of grading.  Tests are weighted at 10% and the final is weighted at 15% of your grade. There will be a midterm and final.

Behavior:  The more cooperative you are, the more enjoyable our time together will be.

Other tidbits:  Please, oh please, keep all electronic devices out of sight.  If they are activated, they go to the office for the day.  Also, follow the dress code.
