Guidelines and Expectations
Supply List:

2-in three-ring binder to hold the student book, lined paper, and current homework
- regular
#2 pencils
- 1 ream
of computer/printer paper
This
class is designed to ready students for Algebra I. All Pre-Algebra skills will be taught,
assessed, and tailored to fit the needs of the individual student.
Students are expected to:
- be in class
daily
- complete
homework daily
- treat others
with respect
Food, candy, and/or drink is not allowed in the classroom (bottled water
is acceptable as long as the top can be capped).
Grades are determined as follows:
- 20% of grade
is based on classroom participation/performance
- 20% of grade
is based on homework
- 60% of grade
is based on tests. Tests are retaken
until passed
(C or better).
Late work will only be accepted if the student is absent and if the
absence is excused. Students have the
number of days she/he was absent plus one more to complete and turn in all late
work.
