Graduation Requirements

 

 

 
 In order to graduate from Prairie High School, students must:

1. Meet standard on the 10th grade HS Proficiency Test (Formerly WASL) in reading, writing, and math.  Students in the class of 2013 must meet the science standard*.  If a student fails the math section, he/she may fulfill graduation requirements by earning 2 math credits in the junior and/or senior year(s).
*This requirement may be delayed for one year-- please see Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction website.

2. Complete a Culminating Project (See requirements listed on the PHS Counseling web site).  This includes completing an Annual High School and Beyond Plan.

3. Earn 22 credits (23 credits are required for the class of 2012 and beyond).

Note:  Transfer students may be required to obtain more credits to graduate dependent on the credit system of their previous school(s).
