Running Start

Running Start is a program in which high school juniors and seniors

take courses at Clark College as a part of their high school program.

Successful completion of college level courses (numbered 100 and

above) yields college credit and can also be used to satisfy high school

requirements.  *Subject to limitations noted in the "About Running

 Start" powerpoint.

The links at the right describe procedures, policies, and tips for

successful participation in the program.  Students and parents are asked

to review all information before contacting the PHS Counseling Center.

Running Start information nights are offered in January at Clark

College for anyone interested in participating. Information sessions will

also be offered at Prairie High School during parent conferences, both in

the fall and in the spring and during the PHS open house.

Steve Rhodes is the Running Start coordinator at Prairie High

School.  After reviewing all information in this site and attending an

information session, please direct all Running Start questions to him

 (rhodes.steve@bgsd.k12.wa.us).
