Greetings to students of the class of 2010
and their parents. I hope the sophomore
year proves to be a positive experience. As
a sophomore, it is important to make
academic performance a high priority.
Another focus is to begin to identify post
high school and career plans/interests so we
can better make course choices in the next
two years. Here are a few items to be aware
of:
The PSAT test will be offered on October 20th.
It is a good test to take, as it is a
practice for the SAT (a college entrance
test).
While some students may wish to take the SAT or ACT this
year, most will want to wait until the
spring of the junior year. This allows a
student to complete more course work for
each academic area covered by the test.
For those students interested in the Running Start program,
test registration will take place in late
February or early March. Testing is done at
the Clark College campus soon after
registration. Please see me about specifics
and if you want to know more about the
program.
I am available to meet with students and
their parents regarding school performance
and high school or post high school plans.
Feel free to call to set up an appointment.
If I can be of help in any way, please call
885-5002.
Have a great year!!
