PHS Dance Policy/Contract

Admission to dance:

1. For dance admission, EVERYONE MUST HAVE PICTURE ID. Current school ID, passport, or driver’s license will be the only forms of ID accepted.
2. No outside food or drinks allowed.
3. Re-entry to the dance is not permitted once students leave.
4. Students must arrive within 1½ hours from the start of the dance (2 hours for Prom).
5. All students must have attended a dance assembly.
6. All students must have dance contract on file to buy a ticket.
7. All students must have no fines or fees.
8. All students and guests must abide by the rules and expectations set forth in the Battle Ground School District Student Handbook.

Dancing rules and regulations:

• Freak (or Club) Dancing is not permitted at school dances.
• Any Front to Back/Back to Front will not be permitted.
• Excessive displays of affection are not permitted.
• Inappropriate fondling or touching is not permitted.
• Front to Front grinding is not permitted.
• Removal of any necessary articles of clothing (shirts, pants) is not permitted.
• Violent, “mosh pit” style dancing, crowd surfing, shoving, pushing, or flailing will not be permitted.
• Any disrespect to staff or non-compliance will not be permitted
• DANCE DRESS CODE- Students are expected to be dressed appropriately. Inappropriate dress includes, but is not limited to; bare midriffs, short skirts/dresses/shorts, low cut dresses, high slit dresses/skirts or exposed under-garments.
• Student vehicles or limousines will not be allowed to park on school grounds or at a dance location if they are occupied by students.

Dance supervisors have the authority to ask students to stop dancing if students are not following the above rules and regulations.

• First offense: Student(s) will be asked to leave the dance. Any student who is asked to leave the dance will not be allowed to any future dances for one calendar year.
• If a student or their guest is asked to leave a dance, both parties will be required to leave.
• Students who are asked to leave are responsible for notifying parents/guardians.
• Seniors who are asked to leave will not be permitted to attend any future PHS dances.
