PHS Dance Policy
2007-2008
Admission to dance:
- For
dance admission, EVERYONE MUST HAVE PICTURE ID. Current school ID,
passport, or driver’s license will be the only forms of ID accepted.
- Upon
entrance to the dance, students will be given a dance wristband that they
must place on their wrist. If students wish to have their picture taken
without the wristband, they must have the picture taken before entering
the dance.
- No
outside food or drinks allowed.
- No
re-entry to the dance is permitted once students leave.
- No
entry after 10:00 p.m.
- Abide
by the rules and expectations set forth in the Battle Ground School
District Student Handbook.
Dancing rules and
regulations:
- Freak
(or Club) Dancing is not permitted at school dances. Freak dancing
includes:
- Any Front to Back/Back to Front towards
the center of the dance floor or in large groups
- Front
to Back/Back to Front grinding
- Front
to Back/Back to Front with hands below partner’s hips
- Inappropriate
fondling or touching
- Bending
over in any position that is equal to or exceeds 90 degrees
- Ankle
grabbing or hands on floor
- Front
to Front straddling

Appropriate Front to Back/Back to Front dancing will be
allowed on the outer edges of the
dance floor.
3. Excessive
displays of affection are not permitted.
4. Removal
of any necessary articles of clothing (shirts, pants) is not permitted.
5. Lap
dancing is not permitted.
6. Violent,
“mosh pit” style dancing, crowd surfing, shoving, pushing, or flailing will not
be permitted.
Dance supervisors have
the authority to ask students to stop dancing if students are not following the
above rules and regulations.

First offense: Students will be given a warning
and their wristband will be removed
·
Second offense: Any student who is asked to stop
dancing who is not wearing a wristband will be asked to leave the dance
immediately.

If you or your guest is asked to leave a dance,
both parties will be required to leave. Students will call parents and
administration will confirm transportation home.
