  • Administration
    Jason Perrins, Dora Swart, Slade McSheehy, and Travis Drake
    Prairie High School
    has four administrators.  Mr. Perrins, our
    principal, oversees all aspects of the school's operation.  Our three assistant principals oversee the daily management of student issues.

    The mission of Prairie AFJROTC is to provide enhanced academic, leadership, community service, and physical fitness opportunities and experiences.
  • Business and Marketing
    Prepare yourself for the world beyond high school.  With the knowledge learned in these courses and participation in leadership activities within FBLA and DECA, students will find greater success in life after school.
  • Career and Technical
    Learn how to turn what you love to do into a well-paying and rewarding career.
  • English
    Writing clearly, thinking logically, speaking comfortable in front of a group, taking an active part in a discussion and understanding what we read are all skills taught in English classes.
  • English Language Learners (ELL)
    Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced reading and writing skills for students whose primary language is not English.
  • Family & Consumer Sciences
    Preparing students to be successful family and community members, and  providing career information and experiences in a variety of professional fields.
  • Fine Arts
    Through creating art, learning about art history, practicing techniques and forming aesthetic opinions, students can discover the relevance of art in their lives.
  • Health & Fitness
    Providing an educational experience focused on health and fitness through physical skills and fitness activities.
  • Math
    The study of mathematics can teach us how to think clearly and logically. Classes help students develop problem solving skills, enabling them to deal effectively with a variety of math situations.
  • Music
    A full range of classes for both beginning and advanced band and choir students.
  • Prairie Cheer
    Welcome to the home of Prairie High School Cheerleading.
  • Science
    Science teachers you to think analytically and apply theories to reality.  Laboratory classes let you test what you've learned through hands on work.
  • Social Studies
    Understand the attitudes, beliefs, and values present in our society. Learn to understand relationships between the past and the present and the necessary skills to function in and contribute to today's complicated and rapidly changing world.
  • Special Education
    Guaranteeing the availability of special education programs to eligible children and youth with disabilities.
  • World Languages
    ASL, French, German and Spanish
    Students will listen, speak, write and read in the target language.  Students continue  learning the culture, geography and history of countries where the language is spoken.
