In order to graduate from Prairie High School, students must:

1. Meet standard on the 10th grade HS Proficiency Test (Formerly WASL) in reading and writing.

For the classes of 2013 and 2014, either the end of course exam for algebra or geometry must be passed.  For the class of 2015 and beyond-- both the end-of-course algebra and geometry tests must be passed.  *For the class of 2012, the math proficiency can be satisfied by earning 2 credits of math in the junior and/or senior years.

For the class of 2015 and beyond, the end of course exam in biology must be passed.

2. Complete a Culminating Project (See requirements listed on the PHS Counseling web site).  This includes completing an Annual High School and Beyond Plan.

3. Earn 23 Credits

Note:  Students who transfer to PHS from a school with more than 6 class periods will be required to earn more -- please ask your counselor .

[For the class of 2016 and beyond, CTE (occupational) classes that can satisfy more than 1 graduation requirement (such as fine art and occupational) count for both categories-- 2 for 1.  A semester class still earns only .5 credit, but 2 requirements can be satisfied at the same time-- contact the Counseling Center for more details]
