BOUNDARY EXCEPTIONS PRIORITY CHART 2009-10

 

Boundary forms for the 2009/10 school year will not be accepted until May 1, 2009.  This date will change for next school year so be sure and check to see what the new date is.

 

All requests for either in-coming or out-going special education students must be approved by Jane Mercier, Director of Special Education before ANY processing occurs.

 

Parents wanting OUT of the district need to complete paper work at the Boundary and Transportation Office located at 300 W. Main St, in the modular between the 450 building and the post office.  The modular is located on the BGHS campus.   Normal hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.   Summer hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

 

The priority for accepting boundary exception request is as follows:

 

1.         In-district requests with students whose parent is currently a full time             employee of the district.

 

2.         Out-of-district boundary requests with students whose parent is currently a full time employee of the district.

 

3.         In-district request where students are currently enrolled at the school requested.

 

4.         Out-of-district boundary requests with students currently enrolled in Battle Ground Public Schools.

 

5.         Siblings of in-district requests where the sibling is enrolled in the requested school.

 

6.         New in-district boundary requests.

 

7.         Out of district boundary requests where the sibling is currently enrolled in Battle Ground Public Schools.

 

8.         New out-of district requests.

 

Requests are honored only if there is space available.
