Established:  Opened in 1979 on 38.6 acres. All of the classroom buildings are in their original state and structure. In 1994 a classroom building, a gymnasium and a remodel of the main office and commons were added to the site.

Prairie High School provides a variety of programs and activities for students and community. Prairie houses a full-time day care for infants and toddlers. Prairie offers pre-school classes for the community as well. As a comprehensive high school Prairie offers a variety of career and technical programs: JROTC, DECA FBLA, FFA, FCCLA, Computer, Industrial and Auto. In addition to the core academic classes, Prairie offers a variety of classes and programs in art, music, drama, foreign language, sign language and ELL. Prairie participates in the Greater St Helens Athletic League, as a member of the WIAA, offering a variety of extracurricular sports and activities.
